7th Inning Stretch
Video I took last night of the 7th Inning Stretch at my first game at Target Field.
My thoughts on some of the winners of the City Pages Best Of: Food & Drink.
Best Restaurant (St. Paul): The Strip Club
Congrats to JD and everyone else at The Strip Club!
Best Old Guy Bar: Yannarelly’s Bar
Some friends and I used to go to this bar all the time for karoke and frozen mugs of Hamm’s. Culture shock like no other. So many great memories of this place.

City Pages Best Bus Route
21.
Pshaw to the 4, with its posh posturing and smiling drivers. Nuts to the 16, with its two-car buses choked with scholars en route to the U. If you want to ride a bus and get somewhere, it’s the 21 or nothing, the bus line that’s about the journey as much as the destination. The stalwart straight line that connects south Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul takes you about as far as...
Target Field First Impressions, by Bill Roehl →
Lately I’ve been thinking that ever since the first game at Target Field, all I’ve heard is positive reviews, and outside of some comments about food/beer prices and long lines at the LRT gate, there really hasn’t been any negative comments about the new ballpark at all. Obviously, people are excited about outdoor baseball (especially die hard baseball fans), and that excitement...

Happy Tax Day!
Tax Day has been one of my favorite holidays for a few years, as it gives us time to think about all the great things our tax dollars are used for. Things like relief for the poor, tax cuts for businesses, social justice issues, new roads and transportation options in the city and the suburbs, and beautiful bridges for cars and bikes. New stadiums, libraries, museums, parks and a commitment to the...

Marin Misner Photo Tours
edkohler:
Marin Misner is cranking out some cool photo walks around Minneapolis.
These are really great. On Friday I walked on Lake Street, from Hennepin to Hiawatha, something I’ve always wanted to do. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me, but next time I will for sure. Such an incredible amount of diversity or people and businesses.

Flip Video and Macs
We just got a Flip HD and would like to get organized with my videos before we get into bad habits of just loading them up without any structure. What do you use to organize and edit your videos on the Mac?

Grain Belt Beer Nordeast: A City Pages review →
The label is a shiny green and gold, and peals off the bottle in a way that fidgety individuals will appreciate.
I peeled every label off of the seven bottles I had last night. Fidgety, me? Not at all.

Should You Find Yourself in Madison, Wisconsin « ... →
Thanks to the cosmopolitan influence of the university and their location smack dab in the middle of cheese and farm country, Madisonians eat as well as anyone in the United States. The city periodically takes first place for most restaurants per capita, and it has long had access to Afghan, Tibetan, and other cuisines esoteric to our region. If you keep your wits about you (see below) you will...
