It’s simply that some people no longer even pretend that they think your time is as important as theirs. And technology makes it worse. It seems texting or emailing that you are late somehow means you are no longer late.

OMG, yes. When you, arriving 30 mins late (and I know you live 10 mins away), are telling me a story about how people tell you things start 30 minutes earlier than they’re actually scheduled to get you to show up on time, that’s unacceptable.

I only want to add that having kids changes everything. Arriving on time just isn’t possible on a consistent basis.
